Flybondi.com is the first argentine low-cost airline founded in 2016. The company seeks to double the domestic market and carry 10 million passengers by 2021 with a fleet of 30 aircraft. It operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800 with 189 seats. It is committed to offering the lowest prices in the market. The company will create 1.500 new direct jobs and 20.000 indirect jobs.
The CEO of Flybondi is Julian Cook, an aviation entrepreneur who has been active in the airline industry for 20 years. He founded the low-cost airline Flybaboo (Switzerland, 2003). Before he settled in Argentina for the Flybondi.com project, he was director at AviaSolutions/GE Capital Aviation Services in London. Cook studied Economics in the London School of Economics and has an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Flybondi.com raised USD 75 million from Cartesian Capital Group LLC and Yamasa Co. Limited as well as a group of private investors. Former Wizz Air CFO Michael Powell is Chairman of the board and former Ryanair COO Michael Cawley is member of the board as well as SertaçHaybat, former CEO of Pegasus Airlines in Turkey.
